The arrangement was requested in the context of the reinvention of the branding and the desire to offer customers the sensory experience of a specially created environment for tastings. The hybrid function (confectionery-cafe-wine bar) and the organization of the flows were possiblein only 55 sqm. It includes a curtain of recessed led spotlights, arranged on 3 sides, individual, intimate lighting, in the form of suspended black cylinders, centered above the tables, technical lighting - adjustable, dimmable projectors on rails and decorative lighting above the bar, which reiterates symbols taken from the logo, like the sconces on the walls. Interior restoration of the ground floor access area and of the 1st floor fully spread over 3 years and 300 square meters of usable space, with the stage of furnishing/finishing tunning in progress. In the restoration process were included: coffered or Gothic vaulted ceilings, columns with Byzantine capitals, interior doors, windows, staircase to the first floor, with wooden carved balustrade, painted stoves, partly massive parquet and stained-glass windows. The brief revolved around the desire to recover as much as possiblefrom the original architectural elements, and the imprint of the current intervention to have an eclectic input, of new elements in the spirit of the old (retro ceramic tiles for the walls and floors in the bathrooms and kitchen) and elements/ exceptional intentions (interior carpentry painted turquoise, hallway walls and office painted washable dark gray-blue, modern sanitary ware, but with classic chrome faucets, partially classic custom furniture, ready-made furniture and contemporary lighting fixtures, but with a retro developed area of aproximative 160 sqm, ground floor and 1st floor, the house was built in a residential complex in Corbeanca, giving the posibility to customize the architecture in all its aspects (interior partition walls, finishes, installations, furniture). As the owners asked for consultancy since the interior walls partitioning’s phase, a functional and fluid planimetric scheme resulted, with integrated furniture and studied perspective angles. Having a partial passive house regime, an organized distribution of a plethora of installations (heating pump, HVAC, centralized vacuum system, radiant panels masked inside the walls, electrical installations with integrated automation, KNX type). So the ground floor contains: entrance hall, technical room, hallway, interior stairway, living and dining (composing an open space) and kitchen. To exhibit and sell supplements, therapeutic bee products (made in Romania) and at the same time to sell and serve confectionery products with beekeeping ingredients. The proposed layout consists of two "L" sides equipped with display furniture, a peninsula attached to one of the sides and an isolated corner, provided with an exhibition box, at the base of an add screen, posed on a pole with a triangular base, which marks, like a totem, the intersection of the two commercial galleries. The design takes on a semi-industrial style, with frontispieces made of corrugated black sheet metal, perforated sheet brass elements for display furniture, industrial-looking black lamps and sconces. Perimeter furniture in mdf and veneered curved plywood, with clear glass shelves and LED strips, with local arched cutouts and polished brass plinths, enhances the products on display and gives a visual and tactile presence to the whole assembly. The peninsula-type furniture contains the "counter" area (payment), the retrobar area (preparation of dishes), the serving area (bar) and the cold display area, built-in, for presenting confectionery products. The black 3D ceramic tiles, partially present on two sides of the peninsula, are part of the overall ambience, with industrial valences. Therefore, an integrated solution was approached, aiming to address numerous functional issues while integrating the aesthetic senses of the occupants and deviating from the conventional layout of rigid apartments. As a result, a series of works were undertaken, involving uncovering, removing existing finishes, interior walls reconfiguration, changing sanitary and electrical installations, floor leveling, cladding etc., without structural interventions. These parameters shaped the furnishing principles. For instance, a bedroom was equipped with a custom-made office area for her, featuring storage spaces and playful shelves, painted in pastel colors, similar to the walls and ceiling, with dynamic diagonals and warm, contrasting colors. The home theater area (special projection screen, surround sound system, spacious corner sofa) was juxtaposed with a home office area, for him. A custom-cut solid oak desk, supported by wooden trestles, along with storage units on the left and right, with organic cutouts, defined and integrated the office into the living area. The original masonry parapet between the living room and the balcony was preserved and transformed into a base for a bar with a solid oak countertop. Elements like circles and arches were recurrent in the spatial forms, from the cutout mirrors of the wardrobe in the hallway to the mentioned niches (also present in the entryway), the foldable table in the kitchen, and the drawn arch on the kitchen wall. These elements appeared also in the kitchen furniture fronts, the sliding double door with an arch between the corridor and the kitchen, and even in the "porthole" door dividing the balcony into two distinct areas. The custom-made dresser in front of the bed, with doors and drawers, was elevated on spherical oak legs and adorned with ceramic torus-shaped handles. A triptych mirror above the dresser intersected three circles of varying diameters, aligning with the aesthetic language of the design. Despite its compact size, the bathroom contributed to the overall pastel atmosphere through its bright color scheme and associated finishes. Ceramic tiles with watercolor-like colored strokes, incorporating copper (sanitary fittings), blue (washbasin), peach (washbasin furniture), and oak wood (washbasin countertop, toilet niches), defined imagined by Paul Vârlan, graphic designer, following the use of circular shapes and the predominance of pink and red colors in the composition of the logo. The narrow interior space, with an irregular contour, has been treated from a chromatic, dual point of view: the first area containing the entry and the customer service, with washable pink painted walls, including the basement access door and the three-dimensional ribbon that crosses the walls like meanders, from the right side, at the entrance to the back of the shop; the second area (preparation and customer interface), without physical delimitation from the first, was finished predominantly in red (counter, work furniture, walls, ceramic tiles). Apparent installations (electrical, ventilation, detection) mounted on the ceiling, in the context of stainless inserts on the countertops and preparation equipment, give an industrial touch to the overall ambience that recalls the pop-art chromatic vibrations of the 50s.
